The under construction house in the village of Douliana, Apokoronas, is designed to have a size of 93 sqm and all of it will be build by stone with 50 cm walls thickness like the old traditional stone houses. The house will have one single room of 5 x 6 m. in the ground floor, which will contain a kitchen area, a sitting room, a small bathroom and a small storage room. This room will direct to a bedroom of 4 x 4, 5 m., including a separate bathroom with shower, and it would be ideal for a guest room.
The roof will have a wooden loft where built by cypress trunks and planks and it will cover the upper part of the kitchen room, while the part of the sitting room will remain uncovered and have a high of 5 m. The loft will direct to the ground floor via a wooden stair and will be used as the main bedroom including a large bathroom with bath tub. The loft will direct through a door to a veranda of 5 x 5 m. with unlimited view. The floor that will cover the loft and the sitting room will be made by cypress trunks and planks, in traditional style, while the roof will be double with Roman ceramics and strong insulation of 5 cm from DOW Company. Insulation, from the same company, but with thickness of 3 cm will be put on the top of the bedroom in the ground floor. All the doors and windows will be wooden (Swedish wood) and will have double panes.
The plot where the stone house will be constructed has 400 sqm size and is located in the south side of Douliana. It has an amazing view to the forests and the White Mountains.
The cost of the house, including the plot and all the rest expenses, is 120.000 €
