is located Northeast of Vamos and it is a village with traditional architecture. Its name is derived from Kefalades, the leaders of the Byzantine colonists, sent by Alexis Komninos in 1182 to Crete. Ombrosgialos (frontal seaside) is a fantastic rocky beach, with a small traditional taverna Northeast of Kefalas. The church of Timios Stavros (16th century) is the oldest village building while the more recent churches of Panagia, Agios Antonios, and Archangel Michael, works of the reputed Kefalas craftsmen, are examples of 19th century folk architecture.
The road from Paleloni leads to Embrosgialos, a relatively easily accessible place, along the steep coastline, which extends to Georgioupoli.
